Dr. Ehsan Moazen-Zadeh

Psychiatrist in NYC

Dr. Ehsan Moazen-Zadeh is a physician-scientist at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He has authored over 30 scientific articles, mostly focused on clinical trials of psychiatric medications, and is currently a research scholar at the Mount Sinai Parson’s Research Center for Psychedelic Healing. Beyond his research contributions, he actively teaches psychiatry residents and engages the public through his “Psych Minutes” podcast on social media. On the podcast, he distills the latest scientific evidence on trending mental health topics—such as medical marijuana and ketamine—into accessible language for a broader audience. In clinical practice, Dr. Moazen tailors his approach by integrating different psychotherapy modalities and medications (if indicated), fostering a nonjudgmental, supportive, and collaborative patient-provider relationship aimed at helping individuals navigate and overcome challenges in their recovery. While Dr. Moazen treats a wide spectrum of mental health conditions, he has advanced training in the following areas of psychotherapy from the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD), Center for Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania (CTSA), and AEDP Psychotherapy Institute:
